(Bloomberg) -- Diageo Plc, the maker of Smirnoff vodka and Guinness stout, will cut jobs at its U.S. wine operations as part of a scaling back of the operations, according to two people familiar with the matter. The downsizing will be announced shortly, and is part of a complete review of the U.S. wine unit, according to the people, who declined to be identified because the plan hasn’t yet been made public. There are no immediate plans to sell any parts of the unit, they said.
