Napa,CA - A panel of internationally recognized judges will honor outstanding wine labels in several categories at the first annual International Wine Label Design Competition. Proceeds from the competition will benefit the Volunteer Center of Napa Valley, which last year provided some $500,000 in volunteer labor to benefit local nonprofit organizations.
While there are no monetary awards, gold, silver and bronze certificates will be presented to top entries in five categories: successful innovation, dramatic graphics, classic style, labels not currently in production (which must meet TTB guidelines or government regulations in the country of origin) and an overall award. Judging criteria include overall originality and creativity, use of typography and use of graphics.
