On the eve of Earth Day and the program's first anniversary, the Oregon Wine Board is urging participants in the Oregon Certified Sustainable Wine program to tout their green credentials. In all, 18 Oregon wineries have achieved the OCSW certification, putting the program's swirly logo on 1.75 million bottles. The certification is an umbrella program that guarantees consumers that the wine grapes and the wine-processing facility has been certified by at least one of a small handful of programs including USDA Organic, the Food Alliance and Demeter Biodynamic.
