(StatesmanJournal) - Jackson Family Wines has added a winery and another vineyard to its growing presence in the Willamette Valley.

The winery and 35 acre vineyard that is home to Soléna Estate in Yamhill County will become the latest addition to Jackson Family Wines’ global portfolio, according to a statement issued by the company. Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.

The sale doesn’t include the Soléna Estate brand or the Domaine Danielle Laurent Vineyard. The Soléna Estate brand will move its production to NW Wine Company, a custom winemaking facility in Dundee affiliated with Soléna Estate’s owners.

The deal is Sonoma County, Calif.-based Jackson Family Wines sixth acquisition in the Willamette Valley this year. In total, the family-owned company has amassed about 1,385 acres of vineyard property in Oregon.

Jackson Family Wines officials said the Soléna winery will help it produce world-class pinot noir from Oregon grapes.

“The Soléna winery is beautifully designed for boutique, small-lot winemaking,” said Hugh Reimers, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Jackson Family Wines.

Jackson Family Wines is best known for its Kendall-Jackson brand. The company’s portfolio includes more than 30 wineries, located in California, France, Chile, Italy and Australia
