Australia’s “Best Wine Bottle” designed in Adelaide, comes from Langhorne Creek
Jun 10, 2013 6(TheDrum) - Langhorne Creek’s Bleasdale brand has been crowned Australia’s Best Wine Bottle by the Association of Australian Boutique Winemakers Inc.
The iconic bottle was designed by Parallax in Adelaide. Chair of the judging panel, Lisa McGuigan, said the bottle was “a winner from all angles.”
The direct descendants of the Potts family have been making Bleasdale wine for 163 years.
“Fortis et Astutus is the Potts’ family motto, translated to read “Bold and Crafty”. This is the brand on the beautiful bottle judged by 12 industry members as Australia’s Best Wine Bottle taking the $5000 CCL Clear Image production prize,” the AABW said, announcing the award.
“The Managing Director Peter Perrin left the Langhorne Creek property yesterday and came into Sydney to receive the trophies for the Open Class Fortified Wine bottle and also the trophy for Australia’s Best Wine Bottle.”
