California firm buys 2 more Oregon vineyards
May 13, 2013 6(StatesmanJournal) - Jackson Family Wines, following up on vineyard purchases in Polk County in March, has acquired two more Oregon vineyards.
The wine producer, best known for its Kendall Jackson brand, has bought the Zena West vineyard in the Eola Hills, according to a statement issued by the company on Friday. The approximately 41-acre site is located in the 5990 block of Zena Road NW in Salem
Jackson Family Wines also confirmed that it had purchased Gran Moraine, a hillside vineyard located in the Yamhill-Cartlon district that includes 200 planted acres. It’s located in the 13500 block of NW Meadowlake Road in the Carlton area.
The company’s purchases are planted with pinot noir grapes. Sale price and other details of the most recent transactions weren’t disclosed by the purchaser.
