US: Wine bill squeaks by another committee

6
(BizJournals) - A bill to expand wine sales in Tennessee once again cleared a subcommittee in the Tennessee General Assembly Wednesday by a single vote, The Commercial Appeal reports. The House Local Government Committee allowed the bill to move on after House Speaker Beth Harwell broke a tie vote. Her vote quashed an effort to delay the bill until July 2014, which would effectively have killed the bill.
