US: NRA wine club presents ‘dicey’ situation for local wineries

With debate raised this month concerning city and county investments into companies that profit from firearm and ammunition sales, is it worth asking how much wine connoisseurs care about the political stances behind their favorite labels?
Most local wineries avoid public political affiliations for fear of alienating segments of their clientele, industry officials said. But with modern distribution channels, many Napa Valley wineries may not even know the particulars of where and how their brand is being sold — or what groups those sales support.
