Australian wine industry legend Wolf Blass blasts lack of global marketing and financial support for industry

(Adelaidenow) - WINE industry legend Wolf Blass has warned Australia will be left behind if strong marketing support with financial support from government is not thrown behind the sector.
The Wolf Blass Foundation is helping to fund a comprehensive review of the issues facing the wine sector, which is expected to be completed in six months.
Mr Blass said in his opinion, if the industry did not change, it would be in "big trouble".
"We've got about 150,000 tonnes of grapes surplus, and there is no room for export if we don't have financial support to promote our products overseas," he said.
