(NVR) - Is Napa County’s Climate Action Plan fair?
Members of agriculture and wine industry groups in the county raised this critical question Thursday during a meeting with the plan’s author, county Planning Director Hillary Gitelman, and Kirsty Shelton, who’s managing the plan for the county planning department.
The plan is set to go before the Napa County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday for adoption.
To begin reducing greenhouse gas emissions in unincorporated areas, the proposed plan would require new commercial and industrial development projects to reduce their emissions by 38 percent over conventional standards.
