(TheAustralian) - TREASURY Wine Estates is making a pitch at the duty-free traveller market, hiring three senior executives to lead a push into a sector long dominated by spirits.
TWE managing director for global travel retail, Andrew Carter, said the company wanted to boost the presence of its wine brands at airports and on board airliners, cruise ships and ferries, as well as in duty-free stores.
"Our ambition is to significantly grow the size of our travel business over the next five years, to become a genuine leader in the category, by inspiring travellers to discover and love great wine and great wine brands," Mr Carter said.
