(Wines&Vines) - Northeast wineries are reporting that Hurricane Sandy delivered more wind than rain. And while it promises to be an inconvenience, the storm caused nothing near the havoc of her predecessor Hurricane Irene in late August 2011. “That time our warehouse was flooded,” said Miguel Martin, winemaker at Palmer Vineyards in Riverhead, N.Y., on the north side of Long Island. “We were more prepared this time, just in case something happened.”
