US: PA wineries mark 'Wine Month'

(WITF) - The commonwealth's winemakers are marking growth in their industry as they designate October "Wine Month."
In the last decade, the number of wineries in Pennsylvania more than doubled.
Jennifer Eckinger, executive director of the Pennsylvania Winery Association, says the quality of PA wines is improving as wineries expand.
"There is a passion of the winemakers to either pursue the dream they've had for some time and open up a winery, or maybe it's part of a family business that they are continuing to pursue," Eckinger says. "Obviously, there's a public demand for it."
