(DailyPress) - Since the introduction of screw caps in the wine industry, there has been a constant battle over which is more effective, corks or screw caps, and why. But one of the more interesting questions is how the average consumer reacts to the choice of these two closures.
In the August 2012 edition of Wines and Vines magazine, editor Jim Gordon deals with the question of consumer appeal. It may boil down to three things: Convenience, price and the aesthetic appeal of the two different closures.
