(DittonWineTraders) - While European nations could hold back on their spending, affecting the wine investment industry, China believes it will go from strength to strength.
The country is working hard to build a high-value industry of wine trading through infrastructure investments and creating consumer demand.
Gregory SO Kam-leung, Hong Kong's secretary for commerce and economic development, has told The Drinks Business of China's importance to the global wine industry.
"We have been working hard to cultivate the right environment for the wine industry to flourish," he said, adding that the country now has 13 bilateral trade agreements to promote regional wines from around the world in the country.
