(NapaValleyRegister) - St. Helena will challenge China for the Guinness World Record for the longest relay wine toast this summer.
The St. Helena Kiwanis Club, in partnership with Appellation St. Helena, Cheers! St. Helena and the St. Helena Chamber of Commerce, have announced “The Napa Valley Wine Wave,” which takes place Sunday, Oct. 7, at Charles Krug Winery.
Wine lovers are invited to participate and surpass the current world record of 321 participants that was set in November 2011 by Shenzhen Sinoauwine in Guangzhou, China.
“A sequential wine toast is a relay toast where participants clink glasses in order, from start to finish, rather than the more common toast where everyone clinks glasses simultaneously,” said Ann Marie Conover, chairman of the board of the St. Helena Chamber of Commerce.
