France: Paris wine makers seek recognition for grape growing renaissance

(Telegraph) - Wine makers of Paris are fighting to stage a grape growing renaissance in and around the capital – once France's biggest wine growing region – and are looking to London for inspiration. Mention the vineyards of Paris and most wine experts will roll their eyes and turn up their noses. Of the few wines still made in the area, most are reputed to be one up from paint stripper.
