US: Politicians think beer and wine can help the post office

(Thecelebritycafe) - Senators have an idea to save the U.S. Postal Service from its recent economic woes-and it involves alcohol. On Sunday, Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Tom Carper (D-Del) and Scott Brown (R-Mass) wrote an editorial in which they emphasized how much the economy would suffer if the postal service removed traditional mail. The service plans to close hundreds of offices and lay off thousands of workers. In addition, there has been discussion about ending mail deliveries on Saturday. This is due to more people going online to communicate and pay bills, which has increased since 2007 and led to a loss of $8 billion for the service in 2010
