Lu Rong Hua, director general of the Shanghai Wine Monopoly, said he was attracted by the high quality of Lodi wines and the medium pricing.
Hua said 2,000 tons of wine were imported in 2002, but last year, imports had increased to 50,000 tons.
The Lodi Chamber of Commerce hosted the Lodi-Shanghai Wine Summit and the delegation toured Woodbridge and other Lodi wineries.
