US: Utah lawmakers looking at changes to state-run liquor business, including grocery store sales

(Therepublic) - Utah lawmakers are set to discuss changes to the state-run liquor Business that could include the sale of wine and liquor at grocery stores. Bonneville Research will present recommendations for improving the state's liquor operations during a legislative committee meeting Wednesday. The recommendations are part of a report requested by the Legislature. The report recommends allowing grocery stores to operate privately-owned liquor and wine outlets and giving state stores more flexibility on hours.
