Bulgaria’s meat production and winemaking on the rise

(Focus-fen) - Bulgaria’s meat production and winemaking is going up, reveal the data about Q2 of 2011, announced the press center of the Bulgarian Industrial Association.
In Q2 of 2011 Bulgarian winemakers report a 23% rise in their production with protected designation of origin on an annual basis. In H1 of 2011 there is an increase of 6.6% in the production of wine with protected designation of origin and a rise of 8.1% in the production of wine without protected designation of origin. The import of wine into Bulgaria keeps on soaring for a fourth consecutive quarter. On an annual basis the rise is 16.7%. Export goes down by 6.4% in comparison with the respective period of 2010. In the first half of the year import is 30.8% higher and export – 3.2% lower.
