(Nation) - The district police have arrested two women among eight suspected vintners with huge cache of wine and other intoxicating substance.
Conducting a grand on drug pushers, the CIA Okara police arrested five suspects including an ex-councillor. They also seized 12,000 litres of wine hidden underground in a liquor factory.
Following the directives of District Police Officer Dr Raja Abid Ali Khan, SP Dr Rizwan Khan formed a raiding party headed by CIA Staff Okara In-charge Inspector Mehmood Ahmad Gujjar to conduct a raid on the Dera of former councillor Mushtaq Puppo. The other arrested were identified as Javeed Kamboh, Allah Ditta Bhatti, Chaudhry Nadeem and Abdus Sattar. On this successful operation, the DPO congratulated the police team. It is hoped that Okara will be made a drug free district with the public support.
