(Harpers) - The UK has regained the top spot as Chile’s number one export market for bottled wine. In the year to August 2011, the value of exports to the UK were up 13% to US$222 million while exports to second-placed USA fell by 1.5% to US$207 million.
Recent statistics from Nielsen also show Chilean wine is the fifth most popular by country in the UK off-trade in the past 12 months, overtaking South Africa for the first time.
