US: Wine business institute adds new online certificate program

(SonomaStateStar) - The Sonoma State wine business institute will be offering a new, one-of-a-kind Wine Business Management certificate program online this fall. The course will take a global perspective, teaching those enrolled the fundamentals of wine business and preparing them to manage and market wine goods in the rapidly growing industry.
"It's an opportunity for people to learn what it costs to produce a bottle of wine," said Ray Johnson, the program director for the wine business institute.
"We're definitely leading the way on this. It's something we crafted with the faculty that would give people the experience they needed," he added.
