FIRST there was the robotic mouth. Now scientists have created an electronic tongue as well.
But while the mouth was created by a philanthropic professor to help those who'd lost the ability to speak, the tongue's just going to hang out at the bar.
Spanish scientists designed the device to identify different types of cava wines, and maybe one day even replicate the work of a sommelier.
