You tell friends you’re going to the fairly nebulous “Wine Country” and they nod in knowing understanding. Yet, where is this eponymous “Wine Country” exactly?
Is it Napa Valley or, maybe Sonoma, across the hill to the west of Napa? Perhaps, it’s Paso Robles in the Central Coast? The Willamette Valley in Oregon? Walla Walla, Washington?
