India: How about some wine made from beetroots and tomatoes?

After having tasted fresh beer from a prominent microbrewery in the city, booze lovers can now get ready to taste wine prepared from beetroot. Aftermonths of dilly-dallying, the state government has given a green signal for producing wine from beetroot.
However, it has not made a decision on the request for producing alcoholic beverages from pineapple and food grains like barley, yet.
Excise minister MP Renukacharya on Friday informed that the government would come out with a new policy to promote wineries.
