US: Can TTB Keep Up With Wine Industry?

Washington, D.C.—Tasked with regulating both U.S. wine producers and imports, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau continues to refine procedures while coping with budget restraints. As a division of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the bureau issues statistical wine reports. The most recent, published May 25, provides some stunning figures from March 2011 with comparisons with the same month in 2010, and cumulative year totals.
