The police over the weekend raided former Turkish Prime Minister Tansu Çiller’s ranch in the tourist town of Kuşadası and found 7,750 bottles of unlicensed red wine worth approximately TL 1 million ($620,000). The raid was carried out on Saturday based on a tip the police received from an unknown source. The seized bottles belong to the private company Mar-Ada, whose majority shareholder is the former prime minister’s husband, Özer Çiller.
