US: Wine Researchers Share Findings

Monterey,CA - For the first time since 1973, Monterey hosted the American Society for Enology and Viticulture’s annual conference, drawing an estimated 500 attendees June 20-24. With roughly 40,000 acres of winegrapes planted throughout Monterey County, the region is home to approximately 85 wineries and vineyards. ASEV president Patty Saldivar told Wines & Vines, “We received lots of positive comments on both the program content as well as the venue.” An abundance of thought-provoking topics and rich content provoked some frustration: Sessions overlapped, making it difficult to decide which would be more valuable.
