Brown-Forman profit more than doubles

(Reuters) - Brown-Forman Corp (BFb.N) reported sharply higher quarterly profit on Thursday after selling several wine brands, and forecast growth in the new fiscal year as the global economy recovers.
The maker of Jack Daniel's whiskey and Finlandia vodka said it expects sales to increase in all its geographic regions in fiscal 2012, which began in May. That includes expectations for strong growth abroad and improvement in the United States, where lingering high unemployment has kept a lid on consumers' discretionary spending.
