Discount wine crippling the industry, says drinks giant Pernod Ricard

Britain's multi-billion pound wine market is losing its appeal as the downturn accelerates heavy discounting, according to the owner of Jacob's Creek. "We're facing a decline in sales in wine," in the UK, said Gilles Bogaert, the chief financial officer of Pernod Ricard, the French drinks giant that owns one of the country's most recognised wine brands.
