FRANCE: Burgundy wine exports rise in Q1

Global exports of Burgundy wines rose in both volume and value in the first quarter of the year, according to trade body the Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins du Bourgogne (BIVB). Exports totaled around 18m bottles for the three months to the end of march, an increase of 11.1% on the first three months of 2010. The value of exports rose by 8.2% to almost EUR122.2m (US$173.4m).
