Declining Aussie wine drinkers are opting for imported varieties: ABS

The Australian wine industry is experiencing its worst period in two decades as the thirst for vino dries up and those still drinking turn to cheaper imports, the latest figures reveal. Wine sales fell at the fastest annual rate in 21 years during the March quarter, to 95.1 million litres, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
