US: Wine tasting and helicopters make poor pairing

The unique promotion featuring a helicopter ride from a winery wine-and-cheese pairing drew plenty of customers but — surprise! — somehow the neighbors were less than thrilled.
It took just a day of the thunderous whup-whup-whup of a chopper flying in and out of Hop Kiln Winery in the bucolic Russian River area to ground the flights.
“We received 11 unique phone calls regarding the take-off and landings of the helicopters,” Sonoma County Supervisor Mike McGuire said of the complaints that quickly came to his office.
