NZ: Wine growers told to secure assets

6
New Zealand Winegrowers is warning its members to secure grapes or other assets, such as barrels being sent to other businesses, in case that business goes into receivership. NZ Winegrowers chief executive Philip Gregan said an advisory was sent to members on Tuesday to remind them of the need to secure assets kept by other businesses under the Personal Property Securities Act 1999. The warning had been included in a February NZ Winegrowers newsletter and, although there had been good feedback from the earlier advice, he was aware some people had missed it.
