US: Wine’s Kentucky Homecoming

After Prohibition induced a 80-year hiatus, nation’s former top grape state again sprouting dozens of vineyards. When it comes to libations, Kentucky is best known for its Bourbon, but there’s a thriving wine industry across the Bluegrass state that’s just as rich in tradition and history as its better known counterpart on the West Coast.
There are at latest count 63 small farm wineries in the state of Kentucky, up from 46 in 2008.
