Canada: Okanagan wine culture slams into prohibition-era law

At a wine tasting last week at Okanagan’s Big White resort, winery owner JAK Meyer found himself in the uncomfortable position of telling skiers that they could drink a glass of his wine, but if they wanted to take some bottles home with them, they would be breaking the law. It was two groups of Ontario skiers who were sampling Meyer Family Vineyards wine, liked what they tasted, and wanted to have a case shipped back home.
