FOSTER'S new wine joint-venture partner, Vok Beverages, will push through price increases for the portfolio of labels that it inherited from the giant winemaker, including popular brands Queen Adelaide and Andrew Garrett, in an attempt to wean drinkers off cheap and unprofitable wine. The price of Queen Adelaide, the key wine brand Foster's hived off to the privately owned Vok in late 2009 as part of its partnership agreement, will be cranked up from $5 to closer to $7 or $8 ,with the brand also recently going through an image relaunch.
