(AP) — North Dakota wine makers have taken a step toward selling their product directly to stores.
North Dakota law now allows wine makers to sell directly to consumers. But to sell their wine in stores, they have to go through a liquor wholesaler first.
The state House on Tuesday voted 62-31 to approve giving North Dakota wine makers the ability to sell their product directly to stores.
Minot Rep. Dan Ruby says the change will let the wine makers broaden their market.
