China seizes 70 tons of fake wine

Up to January 10, 2011, China has seized as much as 75 tons of fake wine and revoked six business licenses in a national food safety campaign launched in December, last year. The State’s food safety office told reporter Friday.
This campaign targeting fake and low-quality wine is still underway.At the end of 2010, a fake wine scandal exposed in Lichang, China’s Heibei, shocked the whole country and then Chinese authorities of industry and commerce started an intensive crackdown on unqualified wine.
