The University of California Davis is set to celebrate the grand opening of a 34,000-square-foot teaching-and-research complex — the “world’s most environmentally sophisticated” facility for making wine, brewing beer and processing foods — on Friday in the courtyard of the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science.
