Winegrape Vineyards Can Yield More Dollars

Santa Rosa, Calif.—At a time when wineries are limiting grape purchases and the prices they are willing to pay, grape growers are getting squeezed. The “Increasing Dollars Per Acre” panel at the Sonoma County Winegrape Commission’s 20th annual Dollars and $ense seminar yesterday advised its audience to closely examine vineyard inputs, trellising programs, yields and mechanization to build their bottom lines.
