White wine consumption in Bulgaria increases over the last year

Sofia. There is some decrease in the consumption of imported wine in Bulgaria, said Branimir Botev, chairperson of the Association of Producers, Importers and Traders of Spirit Drinks (APITSD), in an interview for FOCUS News Agency.
In Botev’s words, the imported wine is usually in the higher price segment.
“Bulgarians are returning back to their roots and start consuming more Bulgarian wine. There is even some surprising tendency – there is an increase in the white wine consumption in Bulgaria over the last year. I guess many people will prefer the white wine on Christmas Eve
