Not every wine company has a following on Twitter. Or its own clothing line. Or a pledge to give more than half of its profits to charity. How millennial.Meet Greater Purpose Wines, a company launched earlier this year by four fourth-generation members of the Gallo family.
The idea is to make wine and give back to the community. The company promises to donate 55 percent of its profits to causes that help children in Modesto and around the world.
"We wanted to make wines," said Ashley Coleman, the company's 26-year-old co-founder and chief executive officer. "And we wanted to make a real difference."
