Virginia's wine industry contributes almost $350 million to the state's economy each year. Last spring, Albemarle County changed some of its ordinances and restrictions to make it easier for wineries to reach more customers and sell their products.
The King Family Vineyards planted its first grape vine in 1999. Kerry Hannon is General Manager.
"We have steadily grown. In the beginning just starting at about 500 cases to last year with the 2010 vintage producing just upwards of 5,000 cases," Hannon said.
