Finger Lakes wineries courted to choose Hong Kong as an Asian wine hub

Could Finger Lakes wines end up on dinner tables in Hong Kong, China, and other Asian countries? That possibility is in the works, thanks to a visit by a high-ranking Hong Kong trade official who toured wine country this week.
"Our mission is to take our message directly to the Finger Lakes, as New York is the most important wine-producing state on the East Coast," said Donald Tong, commissioner of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in the United States.
