            Twitter starts wine sales to benefit education

            Twitter  has extended social media to social wine making.
The company announced in a blog post and video Friday that wines in its Fledgling Initiative would be available for pre-order this weekend.
"The Fledgling Initiative embodies two things that are at the core of Twitter’s mission: providing access to information and highlighting the power of open communication to bring about positive change," said Biz Stone, co-founder of San Francisco-based Twitter.
The company said Twitter employees were involved in every aspect of the wine making process from harvesting to crushing to bottling.
