Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards finalizes purchase of Widmer Wine Cellars

Schuyler County-based Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards has finalized the purchase of Widmer Wine Cellars in Naples, Ontario County, from Constellation Brands.The Seneca Lake winery plans to produce its major labels in Naples, including Hazlitt Red Cat and White Cat.As part of the sale agreement, Hazlitt will lease a portion of the Naples facility to Constellation Brands until Jan. 1, while the corporation moves operations from Naples to Canandaigua.
