Iowa liquor, wine sales up as beer sales dip a bit

Sales of liquor and wine in Iowa increased during the recently concluded fiscal year, while beer sales dipped slightly, according to the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division.
Preliminary figures indicate that liquor sales jumped nearly 3 percent in fiscal year 2010, which ended on June 30.
Wine consumption jumped by more than 5 percent, but beer sales dropped 2 percent.
